Cupcake gift box

It has been such a crazy summer that I have not done any challenges, gasp!!  I know right!  So I made this for a challenge over at Monica's Creative Madness.  The challenge is to make something with a cupcake, using your Silhouette.  I got the file for this little box from the Silhouette store, it is a Lori Whitlock design, love her!  This box doesn't hold a cupcake, it is just shaped like one, to put other little goodies in.  I made it a little bigger than it came onto the mat at, but I didn't check the size so I don't know what it was, sorry.  The papers are Echo Park and American Crafts.  This was super fast and easy to do.

My Craft Spot Challenge #64 Oh Baby!

Wow it seems like forever since I made something!  I have had my kids and grandkids here for most of the month of July so I didn't make anything.  Just played and got lots of hugs and kisses!

The challenge this week at My Craft Spot is Oh Baby!  So make a card or gift or something to do with a baby.  I got the idea for this card from the Cricut Circle Blog, it was made by Kristin Swain, she made a set of baby cards that are just adorable, and this is like one of them.  I will be making the others to, they are so cute.

The card base is a 6 x 6 and the layers to in from there.  The background is cut at 5" from lacy labels, the giraffe at 5" from Create a Critter.  The tag is from the metal dies from My Craft Spot, I adore these, they are so awesome to use and especially since the stamps fit them perfectly.  The stamp on the tag is from Tiny Tags and the inside stamp is from Bundle of Joy both from My Craft Spot.  The sweet baby was cut from the Gypsy wanderings at 2.35", the giraffe is on foam tape, it's cheeks are chalked and stickles added to it's spots.

I tried to get a close up of the tag and stamp and it kept coming out blurry sorry, they do stamp perfectly though, when they don't it is operator error (meaning me)  not the stamps.

Happy Birthday!

I made this fun little card for my little grandson Tyler who just turned 2.  He is a sweet little boy and definitely a Grandma's boy, don't believe me, just ask him.
This idea came from the Cricut Magazine Birthdays, it was made by Roree Rumph.  She made it as a tag, so I changed it up a bit and made it a card.

 All the cuts are from Birthday Bash;
card 5.25"  2 tags welded together and hole removed
bear and wagon and all layers cut at 5"
paper and stickers are from Echo Park
The inside stamp is from My Craft Spot the Birthday Wishes stamp set

This never happens, but the stars were aligned just right for me today.  I had the same (except for the bear) papers and stickers she used and I didn't even go to the store, love that.

What I've been doing!

So this is what has been occupying my time lately.  Are they not the cutest things ever?!  We had all of our grandkids here for the past month and it was wild and crazy and LOUD, but so much fun.  They are simply the best.  My house is now quiet and I miss them terribly.

Family Album

Sorry I haven't had many posts since the blog hop, I've been out of town and tons of family here, so my crafting has been limited.
This little album was so fun to make and so easy.  I made it with my friend Sue, she is an incredible designer. It is a 6 x 7 album cut out of chipboard and then the paper glued on.  Everything is inked and sanded to give it that worn look.  Carts used; Jubilee, Sweet Treats, Lovely Floral, Wedding, French Manor and From My Kitchen.  The sentiments are all computer generated.

Bang! Card

My son Drew and his sweet little wife Chelsea taught us to play this game called Bang!  We have had so much fun playing it with them and trying to learn it all.  They are in Boston for the summer doing an internship so we are missing them and not playing the game.  We have been texting Bang back and forth to each other, so I had to make them a Bang card.  I think this means I win!!

This is from the Wild Card 2 cut at 4.5" with is't layers.  The inside sentiment is from the Cricut Craft Room Basics at 1".  I welded the shadow together for this. All the edges are inked and it is layered together with foam tape.  The Twine is Stone and the sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set  all from My Craft Spot.  I love these stamps they are so versatile and fun, and so many great colors of twine.  The paper is Lime Twist and American Crafts.

My Craft Spot Challenge # 60 4th of July & Canada Day

I made this with a cart that I have had since it came out but never used.  GASP!  None of you have carts you've never  used right?!
I used the Independence Day cart and it is a cute cart, don't know why I haven't used it.  I cut the banner at 5" with it's layers and the usa at 1.5", I cut it 2 times once out of the ivory and once out of the blue and then offset them to make a shadow.  all the edges are inked and the blue star cutout is on foam tape as is the usa.  The twine is from My Craft Spot and is called Airmail.  I got the inspiration for this card from here.
