Happy Birthday You Rebel Scum

This last week was my little grandson James birthday, he turned 4.  He is small for 4 while his brothers are big, but he makes up for it in personality!  He wanted a storm trooper costume for his birthday so I went with that theme.
This is the card I made for him it is a file from SVG Cutting Files from one of the hops, unfortunately it is no longer available.  The stamps are from Jaded Blossom.

Let it Snow!

No I am not ready for snow!!!  I just wanted to make this card.  So it was made with the Explore and the  Snow Angel cartridge.  The little boy is on an action wobble and the face, boots, mittens and shirt are all on foam tape.  I used a punch for the snowflakes.

It's your bird-day!

Here is another print and cut from the Cricut Explore.  I have the bird on foam tape.  Not really sure why the colors look faded except for the ribbon...I tried a few different things and this was the best it was going to get.  It is much more colorful in person.   I got the idea for this from Joy at Obsessed with scrapbooking.

Wish Big Card

So I have been playing with the print and cut feature in Design Space.  I am torn on how I feel about it.  First off it cuts the images perfectly which is awesome!!   Plus it is nice to have access to all the Imagine cartridges at once.  The cons though...I can't use safari to do a print and cut it comes out way to small so I have to use firefox which isn't terrible except that I always use safari.  You also can't print and cut anything bigger than 6" wide even if you have a wide format printer:(  Also when you try to print the papers they come out with lines through them because it has them in tiles.  So if you try to fill an image it will have lines.  The only images I didn't get lines in were the stock images.  So no printing sheets of DP. You also can't remove the registration lines even if you only want to print not cut so it is really wasteful to try to print paper for backgrounds or to cut something out.

Okay enough about all my issues.  This card was made with the Explore and the Imagine More cartridge.  I printed the background paper and the cow and her head is on foam tape and here body is on an action wobble.

Cupcake Bears

These fun little cupcake holders were made with my Cricut Explore and the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge.  They were cut at 9.5" from page 15.   The ears were made with punches and I just hand cut the nose.   I'm going to use these for some of my littles birthday treats.  You could use them for party favors and put a cupcake in them or just fill with treats.  I also thought they would be super cute for a baby shower.   I got the idea for these from Kristen Swain.

Spider Card

Fall is coming!!  I live in the mountains and some of the trees are beginning to change color...not sure I am ready for that yet!  Although I do love fall, with all the colors and harvesting and all that goes with.  Especially Halloween!  This cute card is brand new and will be in the SVG Cutting Files store on Friday so make sure to pick it up you will love it!  You can get it here.

It is called the Spider Flip Card and is so quick and easy to make.  You could easily make several of these very quickly.

Haunted House Card

I know we still have awhile until Halloween...but it will be here before we...I know it!  So with that in mind I am starting a few things to give to my little people.  They love Halloween and so do I so I always try to do some really fun things for them.

This first card was made with files from SVG Cutting Files.  For the card base I took a circle and a bat and made a compound path so it is one cut.  I cut this out of white card stock and then inked it and stamped it with an old background stamp to get that look.  The house and word are both on foam tape.  I saw a card like this somewhere...I just can't remember where.
Cut Files used:
For the card base - Arched Top Card Base
For the haunted house - Spooky Haunted House
For the Bat - Witch Hazel

For this next card which is similar but different.  I made the card base with a rectangle and a circle welded together.  I did the base the same making a compound path with the circle and bat and inking it.  I cut the house two times once in black and once in the printed paper and glued them together a little off so the edge of the black shows on one side.  The bat and house on this one is from the Silhouette store.
