So we were going to my daughters for Labor day weekend and on Friday afternoon she called and said "So could you make me something with these sayings to hold chap stick and bring with you? I have to teach the young women and Sunday and there are 24 of them." We were leaving very early Saturday morning to go to her house. Well being the good mother that I am...this is what I made for her. There are 2 different designs both from Lori Whitlock. For the sentiments I did a print and cut.

This cute little giraffe is from the new School Pal Giraffe cut file that will be in the store on Friday. I just love this little guy he is so cute and super easy to put together. I made a shaped card base with the base paper (orange) and sentiment being a print and cut and then paper pieced the giraffe. Make sure to pick this guy up on Friday here.

Today is our 40th wedding anniversary...I remember when I turned 40 and thought I was old! Now I have been married for 40 years. I am so thankful for my sweet husband he is truly the best thing that ever happened to me. He encourages and supports me in everything I do, he is my biggest fan. He is my best friend, my sounding board, my lover, he is my all.
This is the card I made for him. We have always said this to our kids and grandkids and they to us, so I thought it was the perfect saying for him today. This cute file is from SVG Cuts.

I can't believe that August is coming to an end! Where has the time gone? Did any of you watch the eclipse? We drove to Idaho to see it in totality. It was so amazing. The traffic was not!!
This fun watering can easel card is from the Floral Shop cut set from Lettering Delights. So super quick and easy to make. I was having the hardest time getting photos of this...either it was to sunny or not sunny enough and shadows and wind...so this is the best I could do today.

This is another hybrid card the background printed and cut and the panda paper pieced. The panda and his yellow float are on foam tape. This is from the Pool Party cut and paper set from Lettering Delights. I got the idea for this from Jin over at Under a Cherry Tree.

I am having so much fun making this hybrid cards. The backgrounds are printed and the image is paper pieced. These images are from Don't feed the bears cut set from Lettering Delights. I put the moose on some foam tape for added dimension. This card is 4 x 4 so rather small but you could make it any size you wanted. I got the idea for this from Jin over at Under a Cherry Tree.
