You're A Hoot

This is for my Design Team day over at Creative Critterez Imaginations.  The theme right now is anything goes, I like that one so I could do whatever I wanted to do.   The card base is from wild card cart at 4" , it is the doily.  The circle is from George at 3.5", the owl is from paisley at 2" with all it's layers.  I did this in CCR and then filled in the shapes with papers from the Imagine best friends cart.  The stamp is from My Pink Stamper.  I got the idea for this from Sarah here.

New Design Team!

I am so excited to announce that I was asked by Kimberly of My Craft Spot to be on her design team!!  I seriously did not sleep that first night after she asked me!!  I have followed and admired Kimberly for a long time.  I was at a DCWV warehouse sell just over a year ago and turned around and saw Kimberly, well she didn't recognize me, because we had never met but I knew her from her blog picture.  We talked while we stood in line and she encouraged me to start a blog so my daughter helped me and the rest is history.  I am coming up on my one year blogaversary this Saturday.   If you have never been to Kimberly's blog go check it out, she makes the cutest things and she designs and sells stamps, ribbons and little bags.

Wonderful Mother card

It's my day for the Design Team over at Creative Critterz Imaginations, and the theme is Mother's Day.  I made this from the Imagine More Cards cart at 4.25" and all it's layers.  The tag is from the sweet treats cart sized at 1.25 x 2.25 and filled in with a pattered paper from the same cart.  I then stamped it with a stamp from Stampin Up in a brown ink.  I tied a double bow from some crinkle ribbon from My craft spot added some tulle and put each layer on foam tape.  The card base is 2 circles from George at 4.25" welded together in CCR.

Butterfly cutout card

WOW!  Three posts in one day, I can hardly believe it myself.  The last couple of weeks I didn't do much, was busy with other stuff and then kind of lost my mojo, but I'm back now!  Here is another card made in CCR with ccr basics.  I took a rectangle and sized it to 4.25 x 5.5 then took the butterfly and put it in the shape and sized it to where I liked how it looked and cut it out.  I inked all the edges with black and put the yellow cutout on pop dots.  The flower is cut at 1.25" from Walk in my garden, I added a little bit of tulle, I love the look and feel of it.

Flower and Bee card

I made this in CCR, I think I have a love hate relationship with that program!  When it works I love it and when it doesn't I think it hates me!!  So I used a cart I've had forever but never used, I had to take the sticker off it to use it, (if the truth be told there are many carts like that here!).  Don't forget to flip one of the scallops before you weld them together, yes I'm speaking from experience I cut the card base out and was like what the heck?!  Nothing lined up, this scallop is cut oddly so you need to do that.
Made with the Live Simply lite cart.
scallops at 4.24" welded together I hide the center cutout and then did another one and hide the outer cutout
bee and flower at 2.5"
all the edges are inked and added pen work
center circle is on foam tape bee and flower on 2 layers of foam tape
This is for the circle challenge:
3cuts                                                     butterfly, bird or bug
3 patterned papers                               stitching machine, pen or hand
color yellow
Also for the circle color challenge

CCR card

I made this little card using CCR basics and the Happy Easter CCR exclusive.  The scallop was cut at 4.25 " with 2 welded together to form the base, the circle was cut at 3.75".  The butterfly was cut at .75" with it's shadow.  The flowers were cut at 2.50".  The flowers and butterfly are on foam tape and glossy accents and glitter were added.  All the edges were inked.  My inspiration for this came from an Easter basket done by Michele Kovack.

Mom you are a blessing

Okay, I know this is going to be shocking for you all, so maybe you should sit down!  This card was made with no die cuts, cricut or otherwise!  I can hardly believe it myself and I made it!!  This is an A2 size card, the sentiment is from the computer.  All the edges are inked.  I made this with my friend Sue, she is so creative and clever.

Welcome Little One

I made this along time ago and forgot to post it, so I'm doing it now.  The only problem, I don't remember the size I did it at.  It is from the Hey Diddle Diddle Imagine cart.  I printed all the paper from that cart also.

Friday, May 4, 2012

So I don't know what happened yesterday, but all the blogs that have shabby blogs backgrounds and such were not accessible due to them being hacked.  It freaked me out a little bit, the funny thing was my daughter could go to the blogs and open them, I think it was because she has a Mac.  I am in the process of getting a new computer and would love to get a Mac, but my Make the cut program is not Mac compatible yet, so that is making me unsure.  I know I can put windows on it and run it that way but to me that then defeats the purpose of having a Mac, plus the HP I'm looking at also is half the price.  Any suggestions?
I made this awhile ago and am just getting around to posting it.  The paper is Basic Grey, the bug and letters and flags are chipboard, the black vine is a rub on.

Welcome to the Neighborhood

My friend Sue challenged us to make something using this little red house she gave us, this is what I came up with.  I went into CCR and stretched the windows and roof to fit the house and cut them out 2 times.  I put them on pop dots and punched the grass from a MS punch and put it on pop dots.  All the edges are inked.  The house is from Kate's ABC's, the stamp is from My Craft Spot.
